Complete Water Systems & Pressure Tanks
Residential Water Well Design
Looking for local experts in residential water well design on the Mississippi Gulf Coast? Our team designs custom well systems matched to your property's soil conditions, water table depth, and household water demand. Every design accounts for Mississippi State Department of Health well-construction standards and local permitting requirements from day one, so there are no surprises during installation.
Includes:
- Site evaluation and water table assessment
- Well depth and casing design
- Pump sizing and system layout
- Permit preparation and filing assistance
- Design plans for new construction or well replacement

Well Drilling
From initial site work to a fully operational well, our drilling crews handle residential well installation from start to finish using modern rotary drilling equipment suited to Gulf Coast soil and aquifer conditions.
Includes:
- New well drilling for homes and small properties
- Well casing and grouting
- Water quality testing at completion
- State permit filing and compliance documentation

Well Repair & Maintenance
A well that's lost pressure, run dry, or started producing cloudy or odd-tasting water usually needs attention — not replacement. Our technicians diagnose and repair the most common well issues quickly, often in a single visit.
Includes:
- Low pressure and no-water diagnostics
- Casing and screen repair
- Well cleaning and rehabilitation
- Annual well inspections and maintenance plans
Pump Systems & Replacement
We install and service submersible and jet pump systems for residential wells, matching pump size and horsepower to your household's actual water demand — not a one-size-fits-all replacement.
Includes:
- Submersible pump installation and replacement
- Pressure tank sizing and installation
- Pump troubleshooting and repair
- Control box and wiring repair

Water Testing & Treatment
Private well water isn't regulated the way municipal water is, so regular testing matters. We test for the most common Gulf Coast well water issues — iron, sulfur, hardness, and bacteria — and recommend treatment systems sized to your results.
Includes:
- Bacteria, iron, and hardness testing
- Water softener and filtration system installation
- Sediment and odor treatment
- Ongoing water quality monitoring

Emergency Well Service
Well emergencies don't wait for business hours. We offer emergency response for total water loss, pump failure, and storm-related well damage across our full service area.
Includes:
- Same-day emergency response where available
- Storm and flood damage assessment
- Temporary water solutions during repair
- 24/7 phone support for active customers

Frequently Asked Questions:
How do I find a reliable water well driller near me on the Mississippi Gulf Coast?
Look for a contractor who is licensed by the state of Mississippi, has a physical presence on the Coast, and can show recent local work. Coast Water Well Service is licensed and insured and has completed 500+ wells across Harrison, Jackson, and Hancock counties — you can request references or recent job photos before booking.
How much does residential well drilling cost in Mississippi?
Well drilling costs vary depending on depth, soil conditions, casing materials, and system requirements. In South Mississippi, pricing depends largely on groundwater depth and property conditions.
Do I need a permit to drill a well in Mississippi?
State requires a permit for wells 6” or larger in diameter. Cities may or may not require a permit regardless of size.

We serve the entire Mississippi Gulf Coast, including Gulfport, Biloxi, Ocean Springs, Pascagoula, Long Beach, Gautier, D'Iberville, Bay St. Louis, Waveland, Diamondhead, Pass Christian, Moss Point, Picayune, Saucier, and Vancleave.
How often should I test my well water?
We recommend testing private well water at least once a year for bacteria, and more frequently if you notice changes in taste, smell, or color.
What Our Customers Say

★★★★★
Our well in Gautier went dry on a Friday afternoon and they had us back up and running by Saturday morning. Never had service like that before.
-Gautier, MS
★★★★★

I have nothing but praise for these guys. They do a better job than other companies on the coast and their prices are much better.
They diagnosed and fixed a problem with my pressure. I thought it was my pump, but they disassembled my pump and found out it wasn't the pump, saving me $$$$$. They discovered there was an old suction line that had been cut off and was sitting in the bottom of my well, blocking the water source. They were able to fish it out. My well is running great.
Don't waste time with other places. This is the one and only call you need to make.
-E. Williams
★★★★★
We had our nearly 35 year old water pump and tank replaced today by Coast Wells. Our quote was $4300. The installers arrived and noticed that we didn’t need a couple certain things that were figured in with that quote. After the install, they spoke to my wife and explained why we didn’t need these things and why they didn’t go that route. The said and done total was over $800 less than quoted.
Could they have installed these unnecessary parts and went with the original quote? Sure. But they didn’t… THAT’S how you treat customers. THAT’S how you stay in business for 60 years. Shop around if you want, but you can’t go wrong here.
Mr. Jack - you guys came highly recommended by likeminded people, so I had no doubt about the quality of the product and the service I would get. Thank you.
